[PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY,MD]: Prince George's County Councilman Calvin Hawkins II convened the Governor's Reentry Roundtable, highlighting the county's dedication to supporting returning citizens. The event brought together influential leaders and successful formerly incarcerated individuals, emphasizing collaborative efforts in reentry initiatives.

During the event, Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) Secretary Carolyn J. Scruggs was honored with the inaugural Bernice Slaughter Transformative Leadership Award. This recognition celebrates Secretary Scruggs' unwavering commitment to reentry services and her significant impact on prison reform.
